Description: Castrol GP30 Racing Motor Oil (qt)- new unopened cans from the late 70's. I did a "group purchase" for the BMW club back then and kept a couple of cases for myself. They've been in my warehouse for all these years. Cans are clean, unopened and undented. Metal tops and bottoms (some minor rust along the bottom edges on most of them) with cardboard sides ("composite" cans). Graphics on the cardboard are clean and sharp. Great memorabilia item for your garage. The GP30 mineral based oil was popular with the BMW 2002 owners and if I remember correctly, performed well in the Getrag manual gearboxes. Note that despite the cans being unopened, there's been a little seepage from the paper/cardboard cans over the 45 years of storage and most of the cans are a bit less than full. I weighed 6 cans and the weights were from 1.896 lbs to 1.958 lbs. If you're shopping around for this type of item, ask your seller (especially the one's advertising "full cans") for a precise weight. 32oz of motor oil (it floats on water and is therefore lighter than water) should weigh 1.9 to 2 lbs including the can. Sale is for the GP30 only...there were 2 cans of GTX in some of the photos.
