Description: This is a print of the painting entitled "Casa Rio" by South Texas artist Richard Weers. It is a colorful scene of the multicolored umbrellas on the San Antonio riverwalk patio of the restaurant Casa Rio. Built in 1946, this is the first San Antonio business to open its doors on the riverwalk. It sits on land first granted title in 1777 by the King of Spain. Canoes, gondolas, and paddle boats evolving into tour and dinner boats, began at this location. Its colorful umbrellas at outdoor tables on the patio are still a landmark today. This is a 8" by 10" print framed in a 14" by 17" frame.
