Description: CARTER LEE WELLBORN The Late great Georgia Outsider Folk Brut Artist. SIGNED Felt Marker Drawing. COWS & PEOPLE. Purchased directly from Carter back in the late 90's or early 2000's. Still in the original condition. Carter was raised on a dairy farm near Athens, GA and cows were a prevailing subject in his art, with the occasional people and wagons. Whenever I bought some art from him, he would take the money and head down to the store and get him some Chewin' Bacca. He was a soft spoken kind soul. This drawing is Felt Marker on construction paper...approx. 9x12. He was the brother in law of artist Annie Wellborn. THANKS!!
