Description: Two Carlson Native American dolls, rare large size, both with Carlson stands. Sioux Chief, 18" tall, #18-1W (Carlson tag is attached), dressed in stunning white leather buckskins with beadwork, beaded necklace, a simulated fur pelt, bow and quiver. Sioux Princess, 17.5" tall, #18-2W (tag is missing though), dressed in stunning white leather buckskins with beadwork and a beaded necklace. Has a drum on one arm, a leather tassel on the other and a papoose in a cradle on her back. The arms and legs move on all dolls, however these aren't toys, they are collector items. They have "sleepy eyes", and are dressed in non removeable stunning outfits with all beadwork sewn on. The Carlson Company was started by Ray and Ann Carlson in 1946 and are well known, these large sized vintage dolls will make great additions to any doll collection. These are pre-owned, and although in great condition, show some wear on the feathers, please refer to photos. A family member who collected Native American decor and artifacts passed away and this is from their collection.
