Description: These beautiful and rare Cardamon are in 8" pots. They are rapid growers and they would love to be planted in the ground so they can spread out. The cardamon plant is tropical and grows 5-10 feet tall and thrives in the partial shade although I have grown it successfully in the sun. The leaves are lance shaped and can grow up to 2 feet long. The flowers are tiny but pretty. The flowers form a pod. The seeds are within the pod. They are crushed open to reveal tiny black seeds, the cardamon spice. It is one of the most expensive spices and is used in cooking, medicine and tea. One of best parts of this plant are when you rub the leaves. The aroma left on your fingers is so wonderful.
