Description: These knives were manufactured in Camillus, New York during the mid-late 1970s. They are from the 5th edition of the American Wildlife series. All are model #11 large single bladed lok back knives. Their handles feature 14K gold plated wildlife inlay, designed by renowned metalsmith Sid Bell. I inherited this display from my Grandfather, an avid knife collector. They spent decades prominently displayed on the end table next to his recliner. Note the ill-fitting opened blade (which always drove me nuts as a kid) appears to be a production error. The plastic material covering the gold inlay appears worn from prolonged contact with the glass pane. Though it could be buffed, I leave that decision to a more knowledgeable collector who can better appreciate this rare piece.
