Description: A set of postage stamps we picked up in Cambodia in 1994. There were no postage stamps issued under the Khmer Rouge but after Vietnam went into Cambodia in 1979 and pushed the Khmer Rouge to the western part of Cambodia (towards the Thai border) a new Cambodian government started (Under the Vietnamese) and one of the things they did in the 1980's was issue postage stamps. At the time Cambodia was still called Kampuchea. With the Vietnamese influence the stamps issued portrayed famous Marxist revolutionary characters and scenes. These were never used.
