The applied "vegetables" are attached to the platter, making it all a single piece. The "eggplant" is hollowed out to act as a dip bowl. No chips, cracks, repairs, or other unusual wear. Absolutely lovely. If you have a vegetable-themed kitchen, this will be the talk of your table. Will be wrapped with care and shipped with GOBS of packing material!
