Description: This is for an Original 19th Engraving of Caldron Snout, Teesdale, Durham with later colouring and drawn and engraved by T Allom and W Le Petit and was published in the Views of Westmoreland, Durham. Cumberland and Northumberland Illustrated, by Fisher & Sons London 1838. The print is approximately 6 inches wide x 4 inches high or 15 cm wide x 10 cm high, and has a paper margin of about 1/4 inch or 1 cm or more around the print including the name of the printer at the bottom. The engraving is unmounted and it does show signs of ageing, which so many of these old prints have and this can been seen in the photo, and is guaranteed to be over 180 years old.
