Description: - Up for sale is a rare original 1st Battalion 245th Aviation Special Operations Airborne challenge coin from the 1980’s. - They we’re also known as the lords of darkness, as you can see on the back of the coin. - The 1st Battalion 245th aviation was a Army National Guard unit based in Tulsa, OK that was incorporated into special operations aviation - The 245th Aviation was later renamed in 1986 to the 160th aviation group. Then in May 1990 they were then named the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment or SOAR. This is a rare and unique military collectible that will look great in somebody’s collection!
