Description: This circa 1910s $1.00 token is from the J. E. Weber & Co. general store in Strasburg, Illinois. The obverse has the name of the business and city plus the words DEALERS IN GENERAL MERCHANDISE, and the reverse has the words GOOD FOR 100 IN MERCHANDISE. The diameter is approximately 35 mm (1-3/8"), and the composition is aluminum with very bright silver surfaces. This token was produced as a proof strike and has very bright, reflective surfaces (not evident in photos). This token is in extremely fine condition, with very light actual wear (if any), toning, and slight soiling, and it remains very bright and is very reflective. The illustrations in this listing are photos of the actual item being offered for sale, serving as part of the description. NOTE: The token is much lighter in color (with very good silver color), much brighter, and much more attractive than in the photos. Payment must be received within ten days of close of auction. Shipping (First Class Mail), $1.50 in the U. S. Combined shipping on multiple purchases is available. Shipments usually are made within one or two business days of receipt of payment - and always are made within three to four business days of receipt of payment. Please check out my other items!
