Description: Please, note: We acquired few antique Chinese Mangfu robes, two of them are yellow, but in different shade and embroidered pattern, different length of sleeves and some slight difference in measurements. c.1900s Late Qiong Dynasty Chinese Mangfu 蟒服 or Mangpao 蟒袍 Yellow Ground Silk Hand Embroidered Long Sleeve Peking Robe in Mang 蟒 design with Blue 5-Claws Dragons & Multiple ZEN symbols of wealth and prosperity, love, good luck, happiness, freedom, romance and beauty in Chinese Culture.....The yellow silk robe is Hand Embroidered on the front, back, sleeves, around neck, bottom and side cobalt blue panels in satin stitch technique in all shades of Blue and couched mainly with blue & gold and gold/silver-toned threads. It features Ten 5-claw blue dragon roundels surrounded with different traditional Chinese Zen symbols above heavily couched in golden threads Lishui 立水 (deep sea) crashing waves and jagged rocks at the hem.Constructed with a side opening and side cobalt blue silk embroidered panels extending into what appears to be a belt with the ties on both ends. The robe has a cotton & blue silk lining. The hem of the robe is folded in the couched Lishui field and stitched by hand (partially gone stitches). Dimensions approximately: 57"long, shoulder to bottom. 77" - sleeves, end to end - please, be sure this length of sleeves is what you need! 16" - sleeve width 25 1/2 " - chest, across, side seam to side seam. Please, note: soiling, marks and minor imperfections are not visible on the photos due to the shiny texture of the silk material. Condition report: AS PICTURED. Some expected wear, some not major losses, some general soiling and not major staining, no tears, no holes, no separation. The hem is folded in the Lishui field and stitched by hand (there are partially gone stitches).... see photos.
