Description: This high quality antique serving set was produced by the renowned maker WMF in the German Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) era, about 1890 - 1907. The set is very rare and it's complete and in remarkable condition for its age with just two small rim chips. (shown) The tray and the glass holders are copper with a nice, old patina. The tray has cut-outs in the design and repousse leaves, vines and berries. The glass holders have repousse prunts and a flared base. The glasses are pink glass with fluted sides, and a couple of small air entrapments can be seen, so they may be hand blown. Maker: WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) Mark: Running Ostrich Starting in 1880, the company logo was this running ostrich. The modern "WMF" logo first appeared on a brochure in 1907. Tray measures 14" long x 5" wide. Total weight: 1 lb. 5 oz.
