Description: C1820-30 blade for an American eagle head sabre. 30-3/4" from rear of ricasso to tip, 36" overall with tang, blade curvature maximum about 2.26" out of straight, 1.22" wide and 0.30" thick at ricasso. Blade is engraved with etched panels, primarily of scrolls and floral patterns with a panoply of arms. Blade is a mottled mix with light and dark gray patina with scattered pitting. Top of tang shows evidence of having been removed from a sword.
