Description: This West-bond 7400A Manual Ultrasonic/Thermosonic 90° Vertical Feed Deep Access Wedge-Wedge Wire Bonder (s/n 9630) looks to be in good cosmetic condition, showing some signs of wear.The label lists the model number as "7416A," which is a Thermocompression Wedge Bonder, but this machine has obviously been modified to be a 7400A Thermosonic Wedge Bonder.It currently has Tool Heat, Adjustable Height Platform, and 1/2" & 2" Wire Spools installed, as shown.We have a technician who refurbishes these machines for us, so we are selling it in working condition. Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for him to go thru the machine to make sure it is performing up to factory specs. It comes with everything shown, including an Ultrasonic Generator, a B&L SZ4 StereoZoom 4 Microscope (0.7X to 3.0X) with eyepieces, and a Heated Workholder with Temperature Controller, as shown (the microscope, generator and workholder/controller shown in the photos above are not necessarily the exact ones you will receive; they are shown merely to represent what a complete system will look like). Bonds are made by the wedge-wedge technique using ultrasonic energy to attach aluminum wire at room temperature and adding work piece heat for gold wire. Wire is clamped and threaded diagonally under the bonding wedge, allowing independent feeding action but requiring front-to-back bonding direction.
