Description: I am offering for sale a beautiful circa 1940's World War II British Royal Air Force pilot's wings sweetheart brooch made of sterling silver with colored enamel. The legend on the back says Sterling Silver. They were given by RAF pilots to their wives and girlfriends when they left for war. It is in excellent condition with age appropriate wear and patina. It measures 3 5/8 inches wide.
