Description: Travel back in time with this 1926 Buescher True-Tone alto saxophone. The serial number stamped on the back of the bow is 209,667. Buescher, Elkhart, Ind., is stamped on the front of the bell. Cosmetically, it looks okay. There is a lot of lacquer finish wear. It has booster pads and stainless steel springs. Functionally, it is in good shape. The key mechanisms and pads work. It comes with a Berg Larsen metal mouthpiece cap, a Martin metal ligature, a plastic mouthpiece, and cork grease. It comes in a newer hard case. The handle, latches, and hinges are all functional. The previous owner put a piece of tape on the outside of the lid with identifying information. I've left it on. It's a good All-American saxophone, ready for its next owner. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a stout cardboard instrument box. Please check out our eBay store, Time Travel Music, for more cool vintage stuff, including a bunch of vintage guitars (and a few ukuleles, banjos, fiddles, mandolins and amps, as well as fiddles, brass, woodwind, and various oddball musical instruments and old instrument brochures & catalogs).
