Description: This is for a very rare postal advertisement c. 1810 for services between Wilmington / New Castle DE to Philadelphia - Stagecoach Mail & Passenger Service Advertisement for new service issued by the Postmasters in Delaware - Joseph Bringhurst and David Morrison. Bringhurst was the postmaster for Wilmington starting in 1802 and served until 1820. Whereas Morrison who was the postmaster for New-Castle between 1807 and 1817. The “announcement” is for the start of the service, routes and timing, and promises to be safer and more reliable by "having the best horses and a careful driver". This is an embossed printed card on heavy card stock and in excellent condition. The printing and vignette of a stagecoach is extremely nice. Size is approx 6.5 x 4.5" - See pictures.
