On the front blank end sheet the previous owner, Lieutenant O.H. Dockery Jr. 3rd U.S. Infantry, stamped his name twice and wrote "Dont Steal this good book of O H Dockery 3rd Inf - USA." Dockery also wrote the same inscription on page 168. His name is stamped on the rear blank end sheet with some hand written "Rules of conduct". Dockery's name is also written on the rear paste down.
