He won gold at the 1912 Olympics Games held in Stockholm in the pentathlon and decathlon. He lost these medals later when it was found that he played semi-pro baseball before the Olympic Games were played. His medals have been reinstated. Jim Thorpe also played professional baseball for the New York Giants and professional football for the Canton Bulldogs. The collage features a copy of a the movie poster of the feature film made of his life starring Burt Lancaster as Jim Thorpe. Highlighting the collage is the stamp issued to honor Jim Thorpe. Overall, a great collectible for any sports buff. The size of this matted picture is 8" x 10" and will fit any 8" x 10" inch frame. (a standard size).
