Sculpor’s description of the piece; The "Sea Beauty" is a traditional kind of mermaid but with a twist in the approach. Mermaids usually lay on the ground having a tail that is not functional out of water. To sculpt a mermaid, you have to set her on a rock to do something to provide her with some kind of support. I have solved this problem by curling the tail under her. She sits on her tail and it becomes a structural element. It puts the emphasis on the mermaid alone. There are no distractions. This limited edition sculpture is numbered 55 of 200. The dimensions are: Height 6" Width 4.5" Depth 4" This is a heavy bronze sculpture for its size, at just over 3 pounds, and will be carefully bubble wrapped and packed for safe shipping and insured for the full purchase price.
