Description: British Hand Painted Butterflies Pompadour Pink & Gold Coffee Cup & Saucer B Nice antique British bone china coffee cup and saucer. Decorated with hand painted butterflies and flowers over a pompadour pink background. With double gold gilding along the edge and gold highlights to the handle. Unmarked except for the pattern number 4492 on the bottom of the saucer. Circa 1850 to 1860s. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. The cup measures approximately 3 3/4 inches wide including the handle x 2 5/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. BW IX
