Description: This Gingham Dog and Calico Cat pair of figurines by California’s Brayton Laguna Pottery is in very good to excellent condition. Each figurine is approximately 8 inches tall. This is the shorter of two sets of these figurines made by Brayton Laguna. They are not marked, but see pages 63 and 64 of California Potteries: The Complete Book by Mike Schneider for confirmation. Both pieces are pictured on those pages, along with their taller cousins. Not sure exactly when this pair was made, but the pottery operated from 1927 until 1968. The Calico Cat is in excellent condition and the Gingham Dog would be also except for a production related glaze pop on the tip of one of the dog’s ears.
