BOY'S SHIRTS 1800's Civil War Style Period Correct Buttons Sizes 4 through 14

Description: 1800's Civil War, Western Expansion, Pioneer Era style boy's shirt. These are new items made by a retired Civil War sutler. The shirts are made of crisp white or off-white 100% cotton muslin. Each has a matched set of vintage shell, bone or wood buttons. Most of the shirts have an extra button attached to an inside seam. The shirts are from the same pattern, made with a band collar and front placket with a button at the neck and three buttons on the placket. The back is gathered onto a yoke for ease and comfort across the shoulders. The bottom edge is longer at the back and curved at the side seams for best fit at the hip. Measurements below are the actual measurements of the shirts, be sure to allow 2-3” to your chest and waist measurements for “ease”, these are shirts for men who worked hard and moved around a lot, they were worn full and “bloused” never tightly fitted to the body. Growing boys often wore over-sized, "hand-me-down" and "growing room" shirts.
