Description: Up for bid/sale is a Pay-Per-View boxing poster from the welterweight unification fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Felix Trinidad, September 18, 1999, at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. In one of the most anticipated showdowns of the era, IBF champion Felix Trinidad won a razor-thin majority decision over WBC champion Oscar De La Hoya. The decision was close and controversial, but the fight (called "The Ultimate Showdown" and "The Fight of the Millennium") was a huge meeting of the two best 147-pounders of the day. Afterward, both boxers continued their careers and had many more memorable fights, but they never met for a rematch. This gorgeous, colorful, and big PPV poster was used to promote the closed circuit and home pay per view broadcast of the historic fight. The item measures approximately 27 x 40 inches and is in very nice, rolled condition. There is some edge wear in the upper right corner as pictured in the second photo. Still, this would frame out completely and does not detract from the beauty of the poster image. Both boxers are dramatically pictured back-to-back. This would be a great addition to your boxing poster collection. These were the two best welterweight of the era. Remember, this is a full-sized one-sheet poster - NOT like the smaller version offered elsewhere. Payment by PayPal only. Shipped rolled in a tube for $20.00 (for all US States). International shipments may cost extra. I will combine similar-sized posters in the same tube for discounted shipping costs. Please inquire. Check out my other poster listings, if interested. Thank you.
