Description: BOSS DS-2 TURBO Distortion Germanium 1990 Vintage Guitar Pedal early MIT PSA Description This DS-2 was manufactured in November 1990 according to the Boss Pedal Serial Decoder. It is a direct model of BOSS DS-1, and it makes a very good sound. The mode can be switched with the foot switch (FS-5L). It is also well known to be used by late Kurt Cobain of Nirvana and John Frusciante of Red Hot Chili Peppers.There are some scratches, but it still works perfectly over 35 years after it was manufactured. BOSS DS-2 has moved its manufacturing base to Taiwan since around 1990. This DS-2 is the earliest product made in Taiwan and uses the same germanium diode as in the Made in Japan era.
