Description: The Weltron 2001 "Spaceball” is a fantastic design but is somewhat handicapped by only having an 8-track player and no ability to feed in audio from another source... until now!! After many months of developing a simple-to-install Bluetooth kit for the Weltron 2001 we now we have not one but two kits available! Both kits are powered by the Weltron so no external power source or switch or external modification is required - just turn the Weltron on and you can access a Bluetooth stream via your phone/tablet etc You can even still run the Weltron from a 12v car output or 8 x batteries and Bluetooth will still be available to you Installation is a breeze. Remove the Spaceball top (2 screws), attach 2 wires (no soldering required) and position the kit's control boxes and you're ready to stream music to your Spaceball The kits stream direct to your FM receiver, simply tune in to the kit's frequency(s) and play music Both kits feature:All install hardware (connectors, mounting tape etc)14 page photographic instructions1 x control box (custom circuitry designed by our electronics expert)1 x transmission (TX) moduleA switch that can optionally be installed inside the battery compartment should you ever wish to disable BluetoothRubber buffers to protect Weltron internals from the new modulesTwist ties to secure the modulesNon invasive installation, it can all be removed in 5 mins and without any permanent change to be the Weltron The mono kit features:mono streaming, which streams your music in mono (same sound in both speakers like AM radio)Smaller install footprintChoice of 3 different streaming FM frequencies The stereo kit features:Full 2 Channel stereo streamingLarger but still manageable install footprintUnlimited choice of which frequencies to use in 0.1MHz increments from 87mhz to 107mhzTactile selection buttons and mini LCD screen For the Weltron 2001 you'd think mono would be fine as the speakers are just 20cm apart but the stereo version does sound remarkably good and of course if you have the 2003 satellite speakers the stereo version really is a must The Weltron 2001 is a mains powered device so care is required to work on it and installation should be entrusted to a suitably qualified technician The kits have been tested with batteries, 12v car supply, standard 220-240v mains supply, and also undergone final testing in the US using 110-120v supply Requirements:A working, well maintained Weltron that has no problem getting FM radio stationsA functioning antenna - extendable by at least 5 inches
