Description: Bloodletters and Bad Men by Jay Robert Nash 1973 1st Ed Hardcover Dust Jacket Good condition -- see all photos and video. This is not one of the many reprints issued later. This is the actual book from 1973! This has been deemed a culturally and historically important book. The photos you see here are photos of the actual book that you will receive. Many book sellers online post using stock photos that often don’t resemble the book you actually receive. This book is so big and fantastic I have read it twice. Each criminal and gangster is a story in their own right, and most are despicable as one can come. It includes all the notable criminals, Jesse James, John Dillinger, more recent serial killers, etc. It is well-researched and Nash has the ability to make even the most mundane facts interesting. LARGE/THICK book. About 2 1/4" thick; around 9x12 in length/height. Just thought you might want to know how substantial it is. As far as the information inside ... very interesting reading and the layout makes for easy access to all the information. I purchased for research, but find it also an entertaining read. Describes the criminal from what they looked like, when born/died, what their crimes were ... then goes into more details about how they got started and further crimes committed. Love this book.
