Description: Nice bit of TEXANA history here. Big Bend: A Homesteader's Story by J.O. Langford & Fred Gipson. This is a stated Second Edition from 1973. This book is in good pre-owned condition. The dust jacket displays minor rubbing and soiling as well as some chipping and general wear around the edges and to the corners. There is a tear at the upper left corner of the front cover. There is foxing/toning to the inside of the DJ as well as the paste downs and end papers. See pictures. The forest green all-cloth boards are in good clean condition. The gilt on the spine is clear. Minor wear to the edges and corners. There are a couple small impressions on the rear board. See pictures. The boards also appear to have a slight bend in them. There are a lot of gorgeous black and white photos of the Big Bend area as well as some nice illustrations. The pages are toned but all are clean and crisp with no marks, creases, or tears.
