BIG 18" composition, 1920s CARNIVAL Kewpie type doll, googly eyes, jointed.arms

Description: ♥ Enjoy the Beautiful Seaside with Carnival* Cupie Girl! ♥Postcard cutie from the past.... This unusually large, vintage "CUPIE" (Kewpie), carnival-style doll from the 1920s is of sturdy composition and stands, 17 1/2"-18" inches tall with huge painted, side-glancing (googly) 👀 eyes and long eyelashes, eyebrows, blushed cheeks, pug nose and rosebud-shaped mouth. She has spring-strung jointed arms, life-like pink touches to her cheeks, chest, tummy and knees and wide-spread little hands to greet you with nice finger detail, pudgy tummy and stiff chubby legs, cute tush, rosy knees and adorable, painted & molded knit silver socks (paint is chipped on feet) with flat feet to stand. She still has all her wonderful, original paint finish (side seams show paint cracking) and her original, wavy sparce light brown or blonde, wavy hair wig with braid. She is undressed except for her large pink tulle bow. She even has a small, molded round hole in the base of one shoe to install a stand or rod (similar to the mannequin dolls of that era). She will bring a smile to your face every time you look at her! Dress her according to your own "taste" if you dare to cover that chubby body! These were extremely popular vacation holiday ♥ tokens during the "roaring twenties" era, similar to the "Betty Boop" dolls and often won at summertime carnivals. *See photo number 7 for 1920s carnival Kewpie display! She has been safely treasured all these years and ready to be enjoyed for another century as she is in fairly good overall condition (some paint cracks mostly on seams and paint chips on feet) with no damages or repairs, no fading, no repaint and no odors as she is from a smoke free home.
