Because the microphone is directional, it should be placed vertically upward as possible so that the sound pickup effect is optimal. Cardioid microphones are commonly used as vocal / speech microphones since they are designed to reject sounds from other directions. The transmitter volume has 13 levels. The default volume is level 8 each time it is powered on. It can be adjusted according to your requirements. Testing -> Transmitter and Receiver were charged via the included USB charging cable from a laptop PC. After charging, the transmitter and receiver were paired as described in the included instructions. The transmitter was plugged into the MIC jack of the Windows 10 Pro laptop with the 3-Segment converter and picked up as a Microphone (High Definition Audio Device) without the need for any additional drivers. Input was tested and sound from the Bietrun Mic/Transmitter was audible from the laptop/receiver.
