This is idolatry. So, too, is the attitude of those who imagine that they can put God under an obligation to them, and dare to say: "God owes it to me to do this for me...." It is a moving book, with many insights into our Lord's bitter struggle and many insights, too, into our own temptations, and the devilish devices by which evil seeks to overpower us and seduce us from our primary duty of unfaltering obedience to God.
