This is Bendix's Straight Stitch - Deluxe Model - 1953 Series in VERY GOOD+++ to near Excellent condition -- the light even still works. Also included are four (4) extra bobbins, a packet of needles, an extra shoe and foot pedal control. (see photo) PLEASE VIEW ALL 24 PHOTOS as they constitute an integral part of this listing's description. Please be it understood that as a retired farmer I know very little about sewing either by hand OR by machine, so I have never used this machine personally. What I can tell -- the motor runs smoothly, mechanically it seems to operate smoothly. I STRONGLY SUGGEST to the new owner that it would be a good idea to lubricate the mechanisms so you will know that has been done, prior to putting it into service. The machine has been tested and seems to work well as it cycles smoothly up and down when you plug it in and press the pedal. As a used machine it has overall wear. Photos show machine with a deteriorating drive belt --- when sold this machine will have a brand new drive belt purchased from BENDIX parts supplier in Great Britain...... This machine was manufactured in Taiwan sometime between 1982 - 1984. This machine comes to you from a PET-FREE and SMOKE-FREE environment. THANKS FOR LOOKING!! I DO NOT SHIP TO P.O.
