The series focuses on the relationship between Vincent (a mythic, noble man-beast portrayed by Ron Perlman) and Catherine (an assistant district attorney in New York city portrayed by Linda Hamilton) and a secret Utopian society of outcasts living in an underground sanctuary where Vincent is protected and loved.
