The capstan motor run capacitor replaced with quality German WIMA 400 volts capacitor . The motor lubricated . 3. The belts in tape counter and auto reverse replaced with new ones . The capstan belt is in excellent condition as the the pinch roller . 4. Heads cleaned painstakingly and look and perform like new! 5. Every switch , potentiometer cleaned and lubricated with DE-OXIT 5 Quality electronic cleaner -lubricator. 6. All moving points lubricator for ultra smooth performance. All the hard work mentioned has resulted in one off AKAI GX 365D audiophile auto reverse tape deck one THE FINEST open reel tape deck ever made . This is built like a tank beautifully built the chassis is solid metal and weighs a hefty 56 lbs! Giving you an idea as to quality at hand . The electronic auto reverse is a joy to use no need to place cumbersome metal foil strips at points auto reverse on tape , it can be done by a sophisticated tape counter mechanism located on top front of the machine .
