The model kit is still in its original factory seal, never opened. The model kit is “truly” back from the dead. The first kits were originally produced over 40 years ago when Dark Shadows dominated the ABC air waves. In what MPC referred to as “Round 2”, in 2011 the company brought back the model kit of the gothic star of Dark Shadows, Barnabas Collins. Collins, played by Jonathan Frid and the main character of the TV series, is faithfully reproduced. He is adorned in his classic suit and sports his onyx signet ring and silver wolf's head cane. The model kit features the original MPC tooling and original packaging artwork. Barnabas the vampire, doomed to a loveless eternity, is presented just as he originally was with optional glow-in-the-dark parts and soft, semi-pose-able arms.
