Description: Rare letterhead from the Banning Land & Water Company of California datelined Banning in 1887. Interesting that the company had shareholders from Gold Hill and Carson City, Nevada as well as San Bernardino County. Letter was addressed to E.F. Hofer in Carson City and signed by the company secretary, Geo. Barker. I have never seen any paper from Banning, California, so this is rare. There were tiny splits in center fold repaired on the back. Not noticeable (see photos). Also a second 1887 letter included plus a cover postmarked Banning in 1887.Nice condition.
