Even the thinnest one will support theaverage man. No sharp edges. Not painted or stained. All weigh approximately 1 pound, plus or minus. All have rubber tips at top and bottom. No two are exactly alike' Keep in mind that longer lengths are desirable for uneven/sloping terrain. If you would like shorter lengths for children, I will cut them for you (no charge).Please note: I'm still using the same stick for 10 years now, and it still looks the same. Theonly flaw is that I had to replace the rubber tips. They are also good for walking through streams and clearing "Spider Webbs"
