It is a glove darner and when the rounder of the ends unscrews, it is a needle case(See photo) It is bakelite with a long oval shaped medallion in the center marked Sterling. It measures 4 1/4" in length, In excellent condition with no wear, it is a wonderful sewing antique piece!
