Enshrined in the Hall of Fame in 1949 and deceased in 1993, I obtained this signed First Day cover for my personal collection in 1990. It measures 3-5/8" x 6-1/2" and is in NrMt or better condition. The back is clean. The cover is the first day of issue of the Babe Ruth postage stamp, postmarked 7/6/83 in Chicago. The cachet is of the 50th Anniversary All-Star game, held in Chicago's Comiskey Park that same day. The signature was recently certified by JSA.
