Description: From a huge Museum Quality Estate Collection - These one-of-a-kind ship documents were maintained by the U.S. Navy/Government from WWII and leading up to the Cold War. We have many other declassified ship documents / blueprints / spy photos (mainly landing craft) from ships owned by Russia, Germany, France, Italy, and Great Britain. The backstory was these files were used to create a book on WWII through Korean War / Cold War era ships - specifically landing craft - I'm not sure if the book was ever published, but the subject matter contained in these folders was at one time (over 75 years ago) held closely by the U.S. Military and noted by the various "Secret" and "Classified" stamps throughout the collection. As far as I know, many of the photos and blueprints in this collection are unique, and the photos are all guaranteed type 1 original / not reprints. The blueprints in some lots are also going to likely be the most accurate representation available for many of these ships - which should be of particular importance for model builders, historians, etc. Please check out our other listings for more from the same collection - this truly is a lot worthy of display in a museum, or in an advanced private collection.
