It was released in European countries in early 2009, and was released in Summer 2011 in the US.The Explorer series features 80 brand new characters that each come in five colours. The fifth colour of each Gogo is a pearlescent, metallic color that is referred to as a laser finish. The laser finish made its debut in this set, but would later return for specific figures in other series such as Megatrip and England 2010.Similar to the past two series, Explorer comes with twenty different colour schemes, or twenty four if you count the laser variants.
