Description: Hello CloisonneCollectors!Here is a charming Japanese classic akasuke (translucent, dark enamel) cloisonné vase decorated with cherry blossoms marked by the Inaba workshop.The vase isworked with beautiful profusion of cherry blossoms worked primarily in white and yellow enamels.The background is worked with a finely incised ground known as “nanako” or fish roe with a single bamboo stalk incised into the ground.The vase is in pristine, near-mint, vintage condition without any major chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration. The base of the vase is applied with a partial paper label that reads, “Inaba Cloisonne Japan.”I originally purchased this vase many years ago as part of my efforts to obtain as many examples that incorporated paper labels of artist signatures, marks and trademarks for my reference book.The height of this vase is approximately 6.0 inchesThe width of the vase is approximately 3.25 inchesThis vase will be mailed by Priority Mail and insurance to confirmed addresses within the United States.
