After improvement of irons designs the ASBESTOS 72-B SAD IRON became obsolete for ironing and production ceased. The existing ASBESTOS 72-B SAD IRON became repurposed as a doorstop or paperweight. In the U.S.A the Scrap Metal Programs to support the World Wars I & II claimed a lot of these irons. Today they are scarce. It is in great condition. Dimensions: H: 1-1/2”; L: 6-1/2”; W: 3-1/2”.
