General cosmetic wear. - The lens also has minor cosmetic wear but is in good overall condition. Modifications: - The focus screen has a split screen focus aid, which I don't believe is actually stock for the regular K1000, leading me to believe it is not stock. - This camera's light meter has a repaired battery chamber, with an additional metal piece in it to facilitate contact to the wire within, which also does not appear to be stock. The buyer should be gentle when replacing the battery as a precaution. The camera will include a battery so no need to change it for a while. - The winder does not appear to be stock and is slightly cockeyed like the camera took a bump on that side at one point. The film winds very smoothly and without any apparent issues. Detail: Lens: Glass is clear of of visible fungus, haze, or other defects. May have minor dust, which would not affect image quality. Focus and aperture rings move nicely and diaphragm is clean and operates as expected. Minor cosmetic wear. Shutter and Speeds: The shutter fires as expected and speeds appear to adjust up and down in accordance with the camera settings. Not rigorously tested for accuracy of speeds, and is sold as-is in this regard aside from basic functioning. Light Meter: Note repair in Condition Notes above. Seems to react properly to changes in light and camera settings. Not rigorously tested for accuracy, and sold as-is in this regard aside from basic functioning. Mirror: There may be light dust, marks, or other artifacts, but looks pretty clean to me; no major defects. Viewfinder: See Modifications section above. The viewfinder is clear overall despite some dust, with indicators present and operating Film: See Modifications section above. Winds and advances properly, film door latches properly. Tested with dummy roll, no film was developed. While I can’t guarantee your film will develop, all mechanisms appear to be working as intended. Light Seals: Like most cameras this age, the light seals will need to be replaced. Battery Compartment: Note repair above. Includes a battery already installed in the compartment. Other Features: Largely untested and no guarantees on anything except as stated above. There’s no immediately apparent reason anything wouldn’t work. Exterior: The camera is in good overall cosmetic condition with some blemishes throughout. The camera has been given a light cleaning.
