Description: Here's a discontinued item from the Take-Along range of Thomas and Friends, which is a Lights and Sounds James.The gimmick of this toy is that it lights up and makes sounds. The engine will make three types of sounds; chuffing, whistle blowing and hissing steam. It can make the chuffing sound when it's being pushed or pulled along, while the whistle and steam hissing is down with the button on the cab roof. The lamp on the side of James lights up.There are some defects with the toy. The first thing is that the paint has been scraped from age. But the main issue is that there was some battery corrosion that the previous owner left in. As such, there's some marks in the battery compartment. I tested it out and it works still, but the sound is a bit off. Though I'm not sure if it's from the exploded battery, the age of the toy or a mixture of both.The toy doesn't come with batteries. James needs 2 AG13/LR44 1.5V in order to get the sounds to work.
