Description: Antique Dress 1915 Green Velvet Evening Dress, Arts And Craft Embroidery Design A regal circa 1915 dark green velvet 1 piece in construction dress. The front has a white lace front and with a back neck collar. With long black silk sleeves ending in green velvet wrist cuffs. The front has a side hook/eye and snap closure which begins at the shoulder and continues through the waist and downward. Velvet covered buttons accents. No designer label. A wonderful skillfully done hand embroidery in the arts and crafts design embellished the front that adds a timeless elegance! This dress has strong Arts and Crafts influence worked in the heavy velvet and the no pretense embroidered design elements motifs. The bodice is lined with a sheer white cotton and with extensive front hook and eye closures. The skirt is unlined. Condition: The outside velvet fabric is in very good condition. No underarm staining on outside velvet, but light discoloration on white lining. White bodice lining has staining. Back collar lining has shredded. Inner lace bib has tears. No stains or wear to velvet. Velvet fabric is strong and sturdy. A truly grand display dress/gown for study or display. Can be worn.
