Description: Artifort Tongue Chair 557 Designed by Pierre Paulin The Tongue armchair or F577 is an emblematic creation by the famous French designer Pierre Paulin. Designed in 1967 for Artifort, this armchair is recognizable by its organic shape allowing a relaxed seating position. Paulin made use of new manufacturing techniques to construct the tongue chair. Made up of a tubular metallic frame and padded with foam the design is finished with a stretchable fabric cover. The piece was revolutionary in its shape and form. Featured in the Museum of Modern Art collection in New York Chance to own an iconic design by Pierre Paulin.
