Description: GOOD to VERY GOOD CONDITION This sale is for a vintage hardback edition entitled “Peter Duck,” by Arthur Ransome author of “Swallows & Amazons,” with 21 illustrations, including a frontispiece, and COLOUR end-paper charts of the Atlantic Ocean/English Channel, showing the Track of The Wild Cat from Lowestoft to Crab Island (near Caribbean Sea) and back, all by the Author. It was published by Jonathan Cape, of London, in 1958. The book measures 8 inches x 5.75 inches x 1.3 inches and has 432 pages (including illustrations). The book is in good, neat condition for its age, with minor wear to the original hardback cover, with a previous child owner’s signature at the front, a pen line on the front map, also “by Arthur Ransome” written on the half-title page and no other ink or pencil markings in the book (a little foxing to the rims). The binding is good with no loose or missing pages. There is no dust-jacket. A wonderful, illustrated vintage edition.
