ART DECO French Emboidered Huge Gobelin Tapestry w/Petit & Micro Petit Point

Description: ART DECO Antique European French Petit Point Needlepoint & Micro Petit Point Huge Rectangular Gobelin Tapestry depicting Courting Scene in a beautiful chateaux garden hand embroidered in palette of bluish & purplish & gray colors with some beige and other pale colors accents. Absolutely amazing craftsmanship added Micro Point and Petit Point techniques in a few different sizes reproduced the smallest details and shades of faces and hairs, intertwined hands, tulip flower, and a distant tower with loopholes of windows on the right.... just gorgeous! The petit point & micro point needlepoint fragments as well as other large size fragments such as figures, etc., were inserted into background needlepoint embroidery by hand, what is typical for antique French needlepoint embroidery from the Art Deco era, see close-up photos. There is an embroidered signature in the lower right hand corner, consists of three embroidered letters: HMD... The tapestry does have ragged back as a proof of hand made process, pic.19-24. This tapestry attributed most likely to Chateau property of the Bordeaux region, a famous Bordeaux wine. Measures approximately: 77" wide x 46 1/2" high, ( 6'5" x 3'10" ). Weight: about 5 lbs 5 oz before packaging. The shape is RECTANGULAR. The photos of the tapestry in full size slightly distort its rectangular shape due to its huge size. The back side is shown on the photos ##: 19, 20, 21, 22, 23. There is a white fabric line with plastic rings along the upper edge on the back side, which was added by a previous owner in recent time to prevent damage from hanging. Condition report: AS PICTURED. Some expected general fading what is visible if to compare front and back sides. We don't see missing embroidery, holes, tears, moth damage, or other visible damage. It is generally clean with no stains, no marks, no visible dirt. Some rusty oxidation marks along the back sides of bent Back canvas margins... Lower & Upper edges are finished with brown fabric borders on the back. There is about 1" long and 1-1.5mm thin diagonal line at the upper left very age with slightly darker shade of worn threads, last photo #24. We didn't clean this tapestry. Any cleaning and repair (if needed and desired are only buyer's responsibility. Probably will appreciate a professional cleaning to have the colors refreshed.
